Foresters Financial^TM continues to be committed to the Final Expense market and PlanRight¹ continues to be a key part of our product portfolio.

The application is not changing (applications with either the Foresters Financial or Foresters logo can be used).

Transition dates

For PlanRight applications signed and dated prior to April 25, 2016, the old rates will apply. For those signed on or after April 25, the new rates apply. Existing rules regarding stale dated applications will apply - applications dated prior to April 25 must be received within 45 days of the application sign date.

Here is what you need to know

It is important for us to review our products and make adjustments as required to keep our products current and sustainable. On April 25, 2016 we are changing PlanRight rates for the first time since August 2012 (almost 4 years). Here is what you need to know:

PlanRight remains competitive, with premiums for non-tobacco users in all cells continuing to stay in the 1st or 2nd quartiles
PlanRight Level rates for male non-tobacco and most female non-tobacco will increase between 2.1% to 7.1%
- PlanRight Level rates for male non-tobacco ages 60 to 75 will range from 2.5% and 6.2% and female non-tobacco issue ages 60 to 75 will range from 2.3% to 4%
PlanRight Level rates for tobacco users will increase between 2.4% to 9.8%
PlanRight Graded rates will see minimal increases and PlanRight Modified will not change

Here is an example of the rate increases in the age bands of 60 and 65:
